Privacy Policy (English)
Caro keeps your vehicles and expenses on your device only. We run no servers, need no account, show no ads and use no analytics or tracking.
What you enter
Vehicles, expenses, appointments, budgets, categories and settings are stored in the app's local database on your device. We cannot access them. Data leaves your device only when you choose to export a CSV or backup file and share it somewhere yourself.
Internet use
- Today's fuel prices — the app downloads publicly announced prices from PTT or Bangchak. These requests contain none of your personal or expense data (those services may see your IP address, as with any internet request).
- Caro Premium — purchases and ownership checks are handled by Google Play (or the App Store on iOS) under their policies. We never receive your card or payment details.
Backup and export (Caro Premium)
Premium can export CSV and backup files. They are created on your device and leave it only when you choose to save or share them (for example by email, to a drive, or to move to a new phone). We never receive these files and keep no backups on any server of ours. A backup file holds your vehicles, expenses, appointments, budgets and categories unencrypted, so keep it somewhere safe. Restoring from a backup replaces the vehicles and expenses on the device; Premium ownership is checked with your Google Play account and is not part of the backup.
IP address
The app does not send your IP address to us. When it fetches fuel prices from PTT or Bangchak, those providers' servers see your device's IP address, as with any internet request. The request contains none of your personal or expense data, and we do not collect or link this IP to you. Premium purchases follow Google Play's policies.
Notifications
If you turn on appointment reminders, they are scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Deleting your data
Delete everything at any time in Vehicle → Settings → Delete all data, or uninstall the app.
Children
Caro is designed for adult car owners and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above.
